Every cost figure we publish is anchored to a researched range. We do not list quotes; we list realistic ranges so you can spot when you're being over- or under-charged.

How we research costs

Cost ranges are compiled from publicly available data: industry trade publications, government statistics (BLS, BEA, Census), publisher cost-of-living indices, and aggregated contractor pricing sources. We refresh the underlying data on a recurring schedule.
